BackGround:
WebMail allows you to process your E-Mail from any PC or computer with Internet access and a web browser. There is no need to load or configure any software on the computer.
This is a great option when traveling, when you wish to access your E-Mail from home, when at work, or vice-versa - or simply to avoid the hassle of installing E-Mail software on your PC.
The WebMail option works in conjunction with an existing POP3 E-Mail account associated with your domain.
The WebMail is a "window" into your existing E-Mail account. You can view a summary of messages, read messages, create messages, or process messages by deleting them, replying to them, or forwarding them.
WebMail is a very useful complement to having a website for businesses that are not net Internet savvy. The owner of the website can check E-Mail quickly and easily without having to worry about software settings, server settings, or even which PC they are using.
As part of the WebMail option, each user gains a full "control panel" that allows easy setting or changing of E-mail options and configurations.
With the WebMail control panel, each user can change their own password, turn mail forwarding on or off; create a "vacation" or "I'm away" auto-response E-Mail message, etc.
We have quite a few clients using WebMail just for the "control panel" capabilities even though they still use their favorite E-Mail software for reading/sending their messages.
Check Your WebMail Address From Anywhere!
WebMail is the easiest way to check mail on the Internet. With WebMail you can create a personal email address from your own domain name. Email sent to this address will appear on your private WebMail page. Like any web page, you will be able to access it from anywhere using any browser.
WebMail is also smart. When you check your mail, it downloads just the headers. This saves time and lets you decide which messages you want to read. Because it is a different way to access email, it will protect you from viruses that attack traditional email clients.
